Businesses are getting global and the boundaries between functions are getting fuzzier. There is more amount of data being generated in the last 3 years than in the entire human history. However, research indicates that only 0.5% of the data has been analyzed and used leaving a whole untapped potential lying herein. This has lured companies into redefining the patterns of thinking and ways of doing business by leveraging data to draw actionable insights / intelligence. Business Intelligence is playing a significant role in making this happen. BI is getting merged with processes to provide an integrated user experience.
